I photographed the 10th annual Sexy Syrah wine event at Salty’s restaurant on Alki, West Seattle. There were over 100 wines to taste from 40 Washington wineries, pouring Syrah and Syrah-based blends. Sommelier’s David LeClaire & Tim O’Brien brought together another stellar line-up, and Chefs from Salty’s served up a delicious array of appetizers designed to dance perfectly with Syrah. Syrah is seducing wine enthusiasts who have an affection for red wines with bold spices, rich fruit, and a silky texture.
This event is a fundraiser for FareStart,- a job training and placement program for homeless and disadvantaged individuals. Over the past 18 years, FareStart has provided opportunities for over 3,500 people to transform their lives.
As with all Seattle Uncorked events- there was a really FUN crowd enjoying the generosity of many wineries. Seattle Uncorked wine events offer a great opportunity to sip many different wines and to meet the winemakers from Washington wineries.
